Boyd Deal lives in Ariton, Alabama, with his wife, Leah. They have two sons, one daughter in law, and two grandchildren. Boyd is a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. He is known for his lifelong commitment to mentorship, faith, and service. Having lost his father at the age of 10, Boyd was profoundly influenced by the support of mentors during his youth. This experience inspired him to establish Second Chance Ministries, a nonprofit organization that mentors children growing up without at least one biological parent. The ministry organizes events like youth hunting and fishing trips, providing guidance and companionship to these children.
In addition to his nonprofit work, Boyd has served as a deacon at Ariton Baptist Church and has been a voice of encouragement for Alabama’s agricultural community. He retired in 2022 after a distinguished career with over 37 years of service.
Boyd felt led by God to compile My Struggle, His Glory, a collection of testimonies highlighting stories of redemption and faith. Proceeds from the book support Second Chance Ministries, furthering his mission to uplift and mentor youth.
Through his unwavering faith and dedication, Boyd continually strives to make a significant impact on his community, embodying the values of service and mentorship.
